Wyndham Thomas

WYNDHAM THOMAS (1938-2018) was an authority in the field of medieval music. He edited several volumes of 13th- and 14th-century music, three volumes of Robin & Marion Motets, and published related articles, and latterly produced performing editions of the ten liturgical dramas in the 12th-century Fleury Playbook (available from Antico here). He was editor of and contributor to Composition, Performance, Reception: Studies in the Creative Process in Music (Ashgate, 1998), and series editor of the new Ashgate monographs, ‘Landmarks in Music Since 1950’. He was also a composer whose recent works included the cantata Corpus Christi and a number of organ compositions.
